The day has finally came. Carson has been bitten by another child at school. He had upper and lower teeth marks in his arm. My first reaction was to find that little boy and bite him back! But I being a responsible mother will let the teachers take care of the bad little boy, which I know who it is. All the kids in Carson's room have their own personal issues. One boy is rough and is named the headbutter, Carson is the toy stealer, the blond kid named Adien (Sorry Kari) is the bitter. I only hope that Carson does not get bitten again or worse, starts to bite himself.

A memory of a great woman
Becky's Tea was a great success. Angie, Shannon and Tred once again has put together a great event. Thanks for inviting me every year. For those of you who do not know...
Rebecca Martin Hurst Scholarship
Scholarships for survivors of domestic violence, who have participated in the programs of UT’s Eberly Center for Women. Based on financial need and a short essay outlining the student’s educational or vocational goals.
The tea party is a wonderful way to remember Becky and raise money to send another woman through college.
Beautiful Weather-Beautiful Friends
The Townsends had a great weekend. On Saturday, Moby & the girls and Anna & Maddy came to visit! We played with the kids—went to zoo—eat a great dinner. Not to mention the beautiful 85+ sunny weather we had. On Sunday, Carson and I went into Toledo for Becky's Tea. It is always great when I can make it, the Tea is such a great cause and close to my heart. Again, I got to spend some time with great friends I don't get to see much. All in all it was a busy weekend, but worth every minute of it.
Props to my husband for doing the household chores while I was away in Toledo. I really do appreciate it.

Dreaming...
It's days like today that I day dream of warmer days to come. Perhaps my favorite Holiday – 4th of July. Every year, for many years now, a group of us go to Grasslake in MI for a long relaxing weekend. It doesn't hurt that we sip on beverages of the adult kind all day long while floating in the warm (sometimes) water. When I think about summer it's the first thing I think of. I hope I just warmed up your day!

doggie
Carson loves his dog. Some days I think he loves her more than Mommy and Daddy. Kandern loves Carson because he feeds her his food :0 Here is a clip of them sharing food.

A mothers joy
Every morning I wake up before the sunrise to get a head start on "getting ready" to go to work. I seem drag at first but I pick up speed because I know if I don't shower, do my makeup/hair and eat before Carson wakes then these simple tasks take twice as long. After I am done eating my breakfast Carson starts to stir in his crib... I go to his room and I am greeted by the happiest baby I have ever seen. His half open eyes and his little devilish grin, as he starts to jump up and down with the excitement of seeing me. My heart melts. I now know that these few minutes we share is my favorite part of day. Until we do it all tomorrow again I will remember his giggles as I sit at work waiting to pick him up from school (My second most favorite part of the day excluding sharing some alone time with Ryan).
The simple joy
Finally some video of my baby boy on his new favorite toy. The dog you hear barking in the background is our neighbors little ankle bitter. It's going to be a long summer if he continues to bark at us every time we are outside.
Carson is so fascinated with the outdoors. When we are inside he always wants to look outside. I can't wait till it warms up here...

Happy Easter
I hoped everyone had a great Easter. The Townsend family stayed home and relaxed. Ryan has been working a ton so we wanted to spend the day as a family. Would of been nice if it was warmer outside so we could of played on our swing set.
Grandma Staler went back to Florida and made it home safely. I will miss all the help, but it is nice to have the family back to 4 for now...
Carson got an Easter basket but lost interest in it fairly quickly. Next year will be more exciting.

Understanding no and obeying no
Carson is the comedian. He loves to get a laugh out of some one even if it means doing something he is not suppose to. Grandma is especially bad at keeping at straight face when telling Carson not to touch or do something. As you can see from the video he trying to get her to laugh. She tells him No, then he comes back to see if he can get a reaction out of her again. See the devilish grin.
Kandern Update
As most of you know Kandern has had her 2nd operation on her other hind leg. She is doing well. Some days it seems to bother her more. She is now upstairs with the rest of the family, which means she is doing some steps to go in and out of the house. My mom is happy because now she can return home where it is warmer, just in time for it to be nice here. :)
Hopefully she will be well enough to go on walks with Carson and I once the weather feels more like spring.
Messy
Spring here?
This past Sunday it was such a beautiful day that after our nap we had a snack outside while we watched Grandma and Daddy hard at work putting up his new swing set (photos soon). We've had cold weather and snow since it was put together so Mr. C has not had much time on the swing and slide. Hopefully this weekend he can play outside once more.
I have a feeling I will be outside a lot with him because he is my little explorer. Loves to pick up leaves, rocks and of course put them in his mouth!
It's a Big Big World
I have been trying to get video of Carson dancing to his favorite show, It's a big big world. Trying is the word...every time I am ready to film he clams up. Here is a short video of him kinda dancing.
